The Greater Yellowstone Area: Thinking and Acting Like a Region

"Our environment and particularly our public lands and waters are facing many different, complex threats like expanding pollution impacts, invasive species, urban sprawl and the consequences feeding off of our culture’s insatiable demand for petroleum-based products. All of these issues threaten our natural resources; however when they are combined with greater demands on our public resources and a scarcity of public funding to support traditional resource management, the sustainability of this resource base is being questioned."
