Mussel-Infested Boat Prevented from Entering Tahoe

May 01, 2012 -- Inspectors have prevented a boat with more than 40 adult nonnative zebra mussels from entering Lake Tahoe.

"District spokesman Pete Brumis told Truckee's Sierra Sun that the mussels were found during a training session for about 40 inspectors who begin work Monday for the 2012 boating season at Tahoe."
