Boats Inspected for Zebra Mussels in Wyoming

July 29, 2010 -- Wyoming residents and visitors can expect to spend a little extra time waiting before getting in the water.

The Game and Fish Department is conducting inspections of all watercraft, both motorized and non-motorized. The instigators of these inspections are about the size of a dime - tiny mussels spreading throughout the U.S. Read the full story to get the details.

"If we get mussels in the state it can affect water supplies," Regional Fishery Supervisor Steve Yekel said. "There are many things these mussels can do that can raise havoc."
